We are so excited to welcome you to this special offering –

Our vision is to come together in a simple and wholesome way as a community to welcome the changing of the seasons, to give way to the autumn winds and give thanks for all that has come to pass under the summer sun. This gathering is for all, for families, for new and old friends, for those who are feeling the ache for deep community threads. You are invited to join us Saturday afternoon to settle into the sacred space of Rock Barra, where then we will gather in a simple and sacred ceremony offering prayers to land and sea. Our hope is to create the most beautiful earth offering, share songs, laughter, play and fun.

In the early evening we will gather around the holy hearth to share the abundance of harvest in a community potluck dinner. We follow the feast with an evening of ritual, song, prayer, connection– Resonant Hearts Ceremony. We envision this to be a candlelit evening in the sweet holy temple of Rock Barra where we will as a community create an evening of gentle ceremony and ritual. Bring a song, a poem, a practice, bring your presence, your heart, your devotion, your thankfulness. There will be an opportunity to “sign up” earlier in the day if you wish to share something in the ceremony, and then we will curate the evening with those wanting to contribute!  Sink into the evening afterwards with dance, sauna, sit by the wood stove, watch the stars, flow in the spirit of love and community. 

Start the morning with a Cha Dao tea ceremony, sunrise beach walk, and other morning practices. We will gather then for a community potluck breakfast followed by a simple closing circle to complete our time together. 

This gathering is a pay what you can offering. Included in your contribution is camping, ceremonies, cacao & tea, sauna, access to beach, land and river. Below you will see various payment options of your choice. Space is limited for this event due to the small space of the venue, so you must purchase a spot via the website below in order to secure your spot!

You are invited to spiral upon the rose path, to enter the temple mysteries of the ancient and prevailing deep feminine. July 22nd is recognized as the Feast Day of Mary Magdalene, this ceremonial immersion will be an exploration and celebration into the sacred teachings and practices that this teacher carried and still shares with us. Mary Magdalene paved a path that taught the honored the innate power and potency of a woman, teaching us the magic of cultivating deep feminine essence. Through sensuality, embodiment, art, ceremonial ritual, and ancient practices we will explore and expand into the divine union within. 

This immersion is a weekend to gather together with women to ignite the Magdalene within each of us. The teachings of Mary Magdalene are deep archetypal voyages that are awakened within our hearts as we call on this remembrance. We are unbelievably honored to share with you a dreamseed that has been planted, nourished, and cared for with utter love. Daughters of Devotion is taking our immersion to the shores of Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. For several years the three of us (Abi, Emily, & Katlin) have been pilgrimaging to these sacred lands. The mountains, waters, volcanos and forests have birthed each one of us again and again. Lake Atitlan truly is one of the unspoken wonders of the world, an energy vortex of sacred Mayan culture, a pilgrimage point of mystics, seekers, poets, artists, daughters of the earth, children of the cosmos. This sacred place is indescribable in its potency and beauty. It is with such great respect and excitement that we invite you to join us in sacred ceremonial immersion.

LOGISTICS & IMPORTANT INFO

You will fly into Guatemala City, La Aurora International Airport. From Guatemala City, the journey to Lake Atitlan is a 3-4 hour drive accessible via private car or shared shuttle. Some travellers prefer to stop over in Antigua on the way to Lake Atitlan. Antigua is a gorgeous colonial city close to Guatemala City, and it’s worth exploring.

We recommend you arrive in San Marcos La Laguna by March 9th at the latest, as you will need to meet at 12pm on the 10th to make the voyage to MYF.

***We will support you in helping plan your journey to make it as easy and seamless as possible. We will send recommended accommodation, and travel tips, and help organize all your transportation to and from the lake.***

Guatemala is a third world country with its multitude of beauty and wonder, and also its multitudes of challenges. It is considered relatively safe when travelling if you are doing so wisely. We will be there by side supporting you with tips and advice to make your journey as safe and comfortable as possible.

Mystical Yoga Farm is an off grid community retreat space. Thus being said the accommodation and living are rustic and close to nature. We will be in the tropics and amongst the forest- animals and insects and a touch of wildness is likely, most wildlife is harmless.

There will be other people on the grounds (staff, volunteers, and the possibility of another retreat depending on scheduling). We will have private accommodation and ceremony spaces (shalas) for our personal use. But there will be other common areas where other humans will be amongst us.

Some rustic lodging is available in the house for those who are elders, or who have mobility or other issues. There are also some airstream trailers. If you are able-bodied you are encouraged to tent. There are also Airbnb's and a hotel nearby. If you need one of these spaces rather than camping please specify. There will be some tents available if you don’t have your own. Bring your own blankets, pillows, etc. regardless of where you are sleeping.
