The Healing Springs & The Water Guardian

Throughout time, women have gathered at springs and waterfalls, not simply to wash, but to remember.

These waters were known to heal, to initiate, to restore what had been forgotten. Beneath their flow lived ancient presences, guardians of memory, mystery, and rebirth.

In “If Women Rose Rooted,” Sharon Blackie writes of these sacred places:

"A spring or a well was always a meeting place between this world and another… the domain of the Lady, the spirit of the land, the keeper of its stories."

This pilgrimage follows that thread, the mythic remembrance that there is a spirit in the water, and that when we approach with humility, something in us is returned.

The Lady of the Lake, the River Maidens, the Selkies and the Healing Spring guarians, these aren’t just folktales. They are reflections of the deep feminine mysteries. Each waterfall we visit holds her own guardian frequency, a presence that can be felt in the moss, the mist, the mineral-rich pools.

As we bathe, offer, and sing, we’re not just washing our bodies, we are cleansing grief, old stories, and inherited forgetting. We are softening back into our elemental knowing.

To gather by these healing waters is to be seen by the wild, and to remember that we are not separate from it.

We Are the Water

Dr. Masaru Emoto taught us that water holds memory.

That when we speak words of love, gratitude, or prayer into water, its crystalline structure changes. It becomes more coherent, more beautiful. The water listens. It responds.

His photographs showed what our ancestors have always known:
Water is alive. Water remembers.

When we enter the presence of a waterfall, we step into the ancient remembering of all those who came before us and weave our prayer and sacred intention into the water for all who will come after us. When we consciously work with water in this way, we enter a living field of intelligence, a body that holds our ancestors tears, our mother’s womb, the first rain that kissed this earth.

Every prayer we whisper, every song we sing, becomes structure within the water. These are not just gestures, they are offerings that shape the unseen.

And because we are water, 70% or more, the water in us listens too. This is elemental homeopathy.

What we sing into the river sings back into us.
What we offer to the falls returns in echoes through our blood.
This is the circle. The endless loop of reciprocity and remembering.

In these days together, we will gather not just around water,
but with her.
As kin.
As listeners.
As vessels.

Let us pray with our feet in her flow.
Let us remember that healing isn’t something we do to water,
but something we do with her.

Over three sacred days, we’ll journey deep into the forest trails of Mi’kma’ki (Nova Scotia) gathering at hidden waterfalls, singing to stone and stream, and remembering the part of ourselves that never left the wild.

This is a pilgrimage of offering, ritual bathing, and reverence.
A return to simplicity, sisterhood, and elemental beauty.

We will be all meeting in Parrsboro NS from wherever you come from, then we will travel together to and from each waterfall convoy style. We will stick together but your own transportation is required. We will begin a WhatsApp group as soon as people register so that you can organize carpooling with other women! SO if you do not own a car and want to come please reach out as there will be someone you can carpool with.

Camping & Hiking Gear
You must bring all your own gear for the jounrey, we will provide a list. We do have extras to share and lend out if needed so please ask!

Breakfast, Snacks & Lunch
Evening meals are fully provided, but we will make all other meals and snacks potluck style. Also a good idea to bring your own snacks along for the journey.
